Che Moorhead - Teacher

Che Moorhead is a producer, editor, composer, songwriter. multi-instrumentalist, singer, rapper, and independent musician. Che performs and releases music under the moniker “Che AM” working primarily in rap, hip hop, pop and EDM. His compositional work fuses this sensibility with jazz, world, funk, contemporary classical and soul influences. He is one of the earliest graduates of 11th hour music.

While in high school, Che produced documentaries, and served as musical director for Sankofa and Fiesta Blair, performing in his schools’ black history, and Hispanic heritage month shows. In these roles, he managed casts of over 100 people, aided in music selection and vocal coaching, and during the nationwide coronavirus quarantine, mixed and mastered recordings of performances layered with their instrumentals.

In his professional career, Che’s skill and creativity have already landed him placements in documentary films produced by Rainlake Media. There, his music has served as the underscore to an antiracist history curriculum entitled “Self-Evident Media.” He has also produced music for Americans for Financial Reform and Aequo Fund; foundations with strong social justice leanings. He currently attends the University of Miami studying Media Scoring and Production under a Presidential Music Scholarship.
